Narita, Japan Photo Gallery

January, 2007

We arrived first in Narita, Japan and hoped to work out our jet lag here. We scheduled one day for a trip into Tokyo and the next day we had a little over half a day and spent it in Narita at the temple. These photos are from Narita. Clicking the small image will give you a bigger one. The blog that goes with these photos is found online at www.RecipeResearch.blogspot.com. Since Narita was our first stop, scroll down to the bottom for those entries and read up.

More Stairs. This is the imposing structure that meets you upon entering the compound

Stairs are everywhere

Neat stuff! Not like we make here.

Narita Temple

Small but perfect in every detail.

Post ceremony procession of Monks

The temples are beautifully painted

Landscaping has some lovely winter flower collections

At the temple there are oodles of markets, all selling red and gold icons

This market in on the temple grounds and sells the red and good and foods galore.

Narita Cemetary

Is this an "only in Japan" photo? Dog with pampers.
