Chiang Mai, Thailand Photo Gallery

February 2007

Chiang Mai was a real treat. Here we acted like tourists

A darling little coffee house we stopped at while on our motorcycle ride

Zoom-Zoom!

An unscheduled stop at an Orchid farm. Neat-O!

Not just orchids

The village elephant camp. Victor is a bit campy himself

Just two years old and cute as a button!

This elephant is named Van Gough. It's hard to tell, but he is painting a picture. His direction comes from light pulls on his ear.

This isn't us, but other elephant riders. That seat is high.

This is our elephan, we are behind the safety bar. We are entering the river. I hoped he didn't want to cool down with a trunk full of water.

This was circa-another century.

Terraced fields, growing soy beans this time of year, rice in the rainy season.

Terraced river, I have no idea why.

We are on top of the hill on top of the elephant. Sweeping views!

Tropical flowers are everywhere.

These folks passed us on the Bamboo raft

Floating down river and no, we did not tip though Vic thought it might be fun

Imagine my surprise when we found the Hotel Charlotte at the Queen Vic's brochure rack in Chiang Mai. We added more!
